CAIRO, Oct. 11 (SEE)-The President of Helwan University Majid Najm approved on Thursday the allocation of five annual scholarships for African students in the academic year 2018/2019.
The programmes offered in Bachelor’s degree are Tourism, Commerce, Computer Science, Engineering, and Humanities, as well as two postgraduate grants in the Faculties of Fine Arts and Music Education.
This comes as part of Helwan University’s keenness to open up new horizons of cooperation, strengthen historical ties with African countries and continue cooperation in the field of education.
Najm added that the University is seeking to increase the number of scholarships offered annually and the diversity of its specialties, as well as providing full support for the students.
Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Mona Fouad pointed out that the university’s expatriate service was established with the aim of attracting and supporting international students, providing exchange opportunities for professors and students and strengthening the regional partnership.
