Egyptian Breaks World Record for Longest Dive

CAIRO, Oct. 7 (SEE)-  Reem Ashraf Fawzi broke the world record for the longest dive in the world and achieved a new number 56 hours and 25 minutes under water, breaking the previous record with 5 hours.

Her father Brigadier General Ashraf Fawzi greeted her in the airport after her triumph, in the presence of a large number of fans who showed up to congratulate the young champion.

Fawzi revealed that her diving suit was not manufactured in an international company, but was manufactured by an Egyptian company in Sharm El Sheikh.

For his part, her coach Sayed Hassan expressed his happiness for the success of his student, which he considered a source of pride for Egypt, pointing out that she fought to achieve her dream, which came through hard training.
